China's Hui Zicheng set a world record to win the men's 50m rifle three positions gold medal at the ISSF World Cup in Rio on Sunday.
At the International Shooting Sport Federation event, Hui survived a late challenge from the USA's Matthew Emmons to score 463.7 points, beating the previous world record set in 2014.
Hui spoke about the competition.
"It is harder than the previous qualification competitions. I did not perform well at the start, and got into the lower order of group in the prone shooting, so I worked very hard to enter the final, in which I grasped some feeling."
Emmons pocketed silver while China's Zhu Qinan clinched the bronze.
The victory brought China's medal tally to seven at the Olympic test event, making China the most successful team in the 10-day competition.
